This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
is going to be fun to trash, I can smell the lulz emanating from that page

XPlanetscollideX (7:06:44 PM): How many black metal elitists does it take to change a lightbulb? Phil says th1s (7:06:52 PM): none? theyre too kvlt for the light?
Hello ^_^ I know, I know. you don't know me from adam, but I'm going to comment anyway. First and foremost you have some very wonderful stuff in your gallery next the reason I came to your page in the first place. I just got done reading a comment that you posted on another person's page mainly because every once in a while a humor myself and get a good laugh at the drama that is created by other people (yes I'm a horrible person if you can't already tell). Well, upon reading your comment I found myself agree with many of your points. I just wanted to say kudos to you.
oh oh. xD i can be a horrible person as well, so highfive for that! anyway, haha, well least you got a laugh. indeed, drama is great here on DA. kudos for the kudos.
LMAO! I agree. Drama on DA is pretty great. When I signed up on this site I didn't think there was going to be so much of it, because stupid me I thought this site was about art. Wrong! These art sites kind of remind me of myspace just you post your art along with your drama. Its insane. Anyway, its kind of refreshing to know that there are actually people on these sites that feel the way I do and that I'm not the only person who can be horrible. lol.
i read your coment on RavingG's page and while i congraulate you on your saucyness *i love that word :3* i dont think that was the right way to do it
i personaly don't let popularity get me but that because i just don't like it anyways so i try to stay out of it and laugh at the popular people when they fall on there face because when that happens usually EVERYONE see's that >.>...did i just say that?...oops :3
anyways just saying loved the comment...
though i thought it was unessisary..not because it was not true BUT because now you just got people looking at you for the wrong reason
you have awsome art...let people see that and not the negitive hate comments you send to others
Lol, I read your comment on RG's page too...because it was long. I like reading long things
I dunno if you'd feel offended if I analyzed what you said, but uh...you dont need to take everything I need to say. Sooo...here are my
I dont know if you have read the Encyclopedia Dramatica article on Snape, or if you have seen it for yourself. But I have too. And I was pretty surprised when I saw it and heard about it at first. I can understand your point about dealing with people who are...I dont know...egotistical in some way. I might be using the wrong word for Snape but...she seems like she only wants to hear what she thinks. She seems a little defensive. Maybe this has to do with previous history dealing with some art she has done and she felt embarassed or insecure when people critiqued it . Sounds Authentic? I dont know her personally, but a scenario like this could occur...
Snape gets her recognition because she has some history. She has been on previous art sites, had some drama start and left (or possibly banned) and moved on to other sites. Some of her fans tagged along with her. Its not just fans that admire her work, but those who are against it and her attitude. She's known and discussed on many sites. Shes more popular than some of the other artists on this site like or and some others who I cant think of...
Her style really hasnt changed dramatically for a couple of years...She takes critiques on her works pretty personally as well. I dont think us telling her how to fix something or how to change her attitude is really going to do anything. I hope she can change that all on her own...shes what...19?...It'll probably take some self-evaluation at first.
I know how it feel to not have your works acknowledged by more than 5 people or any at all. (I did in the past, but all the work I did was mainly fan-based stuff..now I dont XD). As of right now...I dont care I dont think I could handle that...popularity status now. Or anything close to it. You are still young; you are 16! I was 16...a while ago (am 18 now). I kinda had to go around asking for people to critique my work or displaying it somewhere or comparing it to someone elses stuff and critiquing myself (big headache! ugh...) Or I'd use tutorials that offered simpler ways of styling. Your coloring style is like..twice as good as mine. All you need is some confidence. You said you lost it. Dont let these other artists intimidate you. You are competing in a very popular genre of art; anime and manga. Change up your style a bit; whats going to make YOUR art stand out? It could be something as simple as a pencil stroke, who knows. Details? Coloring attracts a lot of people? I dunno...brainstorm? Maybe take a break from DA, start fresh with a new account? Thats what I'm going to be doing after christmas. The little pageviews I get, come from me commenting on other peoples work. It definetly gets you some attention, for one but it almost changes your attitude about your own work. If you can help other people, you can help yourself
So, what does Snape do to attract so many people (those who love and hate her). She has a different style; it looks anime-ish but not quite so. Her style is somewhat unique. She draws SNAPE (very popular with Harry Potter fans). She made her own story surrounding her characters (People become engaged with art & stories). Aaannnddd...she causes drama. So there are some positives and negatives. Point of it all, she draws fanart related material. Which is way popular on here. Perfect example, look at 's work. Hes a hell of an artist. He's been gone for 3 years! But He still doesnt get as much attention as the fanart or anime artists. Another artist is who's works I love. And he has I think less than 100,000 pageviews. DA is nothing but a Popularity contest. Sucks I know...but it is. It wasnt like this back in 2000-2003...
Ok, I'm beginning to type way too much (I'm soo sorry LOL) But I think I made a clear enough point. It would a shame if you left, especially because you even mentioned you dont have confidence in work work anymore. Thats what makes a true artist anyway right: Confidence. And if you dont have that then...what do you have? Ok...thats another discussion but...
Brainstorm! {take a look at your artwork. Ask yourself questions. Show them to other artists. Reply and post in the forums. BE PROACTIVE}
Experiment! {style your art up a bit. Try something new like fractals or vectors. Look around this site, whats the Second most popular thing on here? Maybe combine that with your anime works.}
Thats all that I can offer.Best of Luck to You
